My Craft Show Inventory Price Ranges

With craft show season quickly approaching, I wanted to provide a list of my favorite things to have available for buyers. I hope that this can serve as a guide for crafters of all types! Please keep in mind that these are the items I provide as a crocheter, resin artist, and sticker maker, but you can easily apply the information from this post to your own business.

I like to provide my buyers with a wide range of items with various price points. While some people can easily afford my most expensive crocheted dolls, others can’t. Because of this I offer inexpensive items that they can justify purchasing and love for years to come!

Now, let’s get on with the list!

I’d like to start of with my more expensive items. These items take more time to create, and the cost of materials is much higher.

1. Extra Large Crochet Dolls (Amigurumi) $90 – $120

Right now I only offer one extra large item, and that is my extra large stuffed octopus. This guy is made out of thick, fluffy yarn and takes many hours to make (and lots of frustration on my part!). Mostly these guys serve as a magnet to draw people into my booth. That in itself makes them SO worth it! It is a hit with kids and adults alike.

It’s always a great idea to have one item or display that really draws people to your booth. Think large, fun, and colorful! And remember, if it does a great job at bringing potential customers in, it pays for itself. It’s okay if you don’t sell one of these items at every show!

2. Large Crochet Dolls (Amigurumi) $40 – $60

I can usually expect to sell several of these dolls at each show I attend. Selling one of these crocheted dolls usually ends up paying for my booth fee! I like to provide items within this price range because this is about how much money people like to spend on a gift for a good friend or loved one.

3. Resin Jewelry, Keychains, and Magnets $8 – $20

While most of my resin pieces sell on my online platforms, I do manage to sell quite a bit at craft shows. I’ll be honest, I think I would sell many more if I were to improve the way I display them. (I tend to focus more on my crocheted dolls and how they are displayed, mostly because of how much time I spend on them). Resin pieces are quite resilient, and I really only have to worry about them being in direct sunlight.

Anyway, while most of my resin pieces are worn and loved by kids, I almost always have one or two adults who come along and fall in love with my quirky resin earrings or magnets.

At $8 – $20, these pieces fall under the price range that most buyers are willing to spend at any one booth at a craft show. It’s just a little souvenir that they can take home with them or give as a small gift. This is also the price range most parents will let their child select from when told they can get “one thing” at the show. This is why I like to have many kid-friendly items to offer at this price point.

4. Crochet Scarves, Hats, Blankets, and Wearables $12 – $50

I’ll be honest, I don’t make many items in this category. In fact, I only make them so I have them available for those buyers who “expect” to see them at a crochet booth. I don’t usually put many of these items out, but if I see that someone is interested I will tell them that I have more available. Actually, I’m debating getting rid of this category all together as it no longer fits in with my brand. I may also consider altering the patterns a little bit so that they fit in better with the rest of my products.

5. Small Crochet Dolls (Amigurumi) $12 – $25

This category makes up the majority of sales at my craft booth, and I almost sell out at every show! Many shoppers can’t resist stopping at my booth to give one of the octopuses a squeeze, and when they find one in their favorite color the can’t resist purchasing!

My small crocheted dolls are perfect for kids and adults; they are safe for gentle play and look great in an office cubicle. I know several people who even display them in their car’s dash!

6. Stickers and Sticker Sheets $2 – $5

These items are the lowest-priced items that I provide in my craft show booth. These stickers make great add-ons for some extra income, and are perfect for those who love my dolls but can’t afford to buy any just yet. I can’t say how well they sell as they are the newest addition to my product line-up, but I have sold quite a few both in-person and online and have received positive feedback.

I also throw these in as free gifts for those who make a large purchase from my online shop. Remember, if you keep your customers happy they will be more likely to come back and buy from you again!

I hope this list has provided you with some valuable information. I wish you the best of luck at your next craft show!
