Moving Day is Approaching

Ah, moving day.

It’s approaching rapidly.  Tomorrow the movers are coming to haul all of our stuff away to a far away land, known by many as the state of Maryland. Unfortunately for my family, we won’t be going to Maryland just yet; we have to make a 4 month pitstop in Texas.

The hardest part isn’t trying to figure out which clothes to send and which to take with us, or dealing with the kids and dog, or even the fact that we have to drive two separate cars. The most difficult task is figuring out which of my skeins of yarn to take with me, and which ones to send on their way to the east coast.

My yarn takes up 5 huge bins.  That doesn’t include the yarn that is partially used in baskets around my fancy room, or the half finished projects in various bags.

I need them all.

Every single skein is so special to me, and deciding which ones to keep with me is a daunting task.  My husband won’t let me take all of them, so I guess I’ll just have to pick a little of everything so I’m prepared for whatever I’m in the mood to make.

Not only that, but I have to bring all of my finished objects with me.  I’m not about to put my Etsy shop on vacation for 4 months…

I’m also bummed about the fact that my children aren’t old enough to drive so I can crochet during the trip.

All joking aside, we are all pretty stoked to be heading back east.  It’s a bummer that we have to stay in Texas for a bit, but in the end we all know it will be worth it. I’ll suffer for a bit, but I’ll always have my family with me and I’ll always have my yarn.
