Ah, the “V” stitch. When mixed with a worsted weight yarn and J hook, you can have a project finished in no time.
I just love how something as simple as a double crochet, used in a slightly different way, can produce such beauty.
I mean, just LOOK at it! It gives the project a delicate, almost lacy look, despite the worsted weight yarn (that I choose to use).
When used with a light weight yarn, it gives you a light, airy project.
The “V” stitch makes these baby blankets just perfect (in my opinion at least).
And when changing colors, it turns a simple stripe into a zig-zag of wonder.
Okay, so maybe I utilize the stitch too much and take advantage of its super powers. Maybe it’s just me being lazy, using the “V” stitch as a form of procrastination from fancier projects. Either way, it is my favorite stitch at the moment. My hands can’t stop building the double crochets and forming them in such a way that they form the 22nd letter of the alphabet. I’ll shout out for all to hear, “I FRIGGEN LOVE THE V STITCH!”.
And I know you do too.
Don’t you?
