Wow it’s been a while since I’ve added any content! Life sure does keep me busy, but guess what? I’m back!
The past few months have been a wild ride. My family and I moved from California to Texas for a few months where I did some Army training, and now I’m in Maryland at my duty station. It feels so good to be closer to home for the first time in over 2 years! Especially during the holidays; I need snow in my life!
While in Texas, I didn’t do any crocheting. It was really difficult for me to stay away from the hooks and yarn, but my training was very demanding and super important for my career. Every now and then, however, I would go to my tiny yarn stash that I had managed to take along with me, and give the skeins a good squish. Ahh, I love that feeling.
Recently, I started back up with things, and am promoting the fact that all of the money I earn from selling my crocheted items will go to my mom to help her pay for her cancer treatments. (This is another reason why I’ve been away, finding out my mom has cancer has been difficult on me). I got a pretty overwhelming response, mostly because almost everyone seemed to want custom items. My intention was to sell the items I already had made, but I couldn’t say no!
Sometimes, you have to say no though. I realized that I may have taken on too much, so now I’m falling behind. I publicly apologized on my Facebook page, and now I’m only selling my pre-made items. At least until I get all caught up again.
Anyway, that is what has been going on with me, and now that I’m all moved in to my new place, I’ll be posting regularly with pattern reviews, finished projects, and more!
Thanks so much for sticking around!
